Fees

Entry level Will - £99

This is for a basic will where your estate falls below the inheritance tax threshold and your family circumstances are uncomplicated.  It is ideal, for example, for someone who has a spouse, children and living parents and the estate falls below the inheritance tax threshold.  

Where there are complicated family circumstances or the estate is more than the inheritance tax threshold, we will review your completed questionnaire and contact you to discuss your circumstances further and give you a quote based on the amount of work that will need to be undertaken.  Work will only be carried out once a fee has been agreed.  In all cases, however, we aim to be the most competitive in the market.

Method of Payment

A payment of £99 is required to be sent with your completed questionnaire before any work can be undertaken.  If you only require a basic Will then this payment will be the full payment (excluding fee for any letters of wishes).   If your circumstances require more work, a fee will be agreed as outlined above.  The remainder of your fee will be required before a final copy of your Will is sent to you for signing. 

Payment should be made by cheque.   Cheques should be made payable to Islamic Will Writers.  Please do not send cash.  Your final Will will be sent to you upon receipt of cleared funds in the Islamic Will Writers account. 

Letter of Wishes – starting from £15

The purpose of your Will is to provide details of your estate and how it should be managed and distributed.  More detailed instructions on how you wish to be buried or how your children should be raised should you die during their minority should be left in a Letter of Wishes.  Although a Letter of Wishes is not legally binding it provides your family an friends of your wishes.  The Letter of Wishes can be kept with your Will.

We have a standard letter of Wishes which provides detailed instructions on burial and funeral.  These are in line with the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and the practices of the rightly guided Sahabahs.  This standard letter is charged at £15.  However, if you would like to add further instructions then a fee would need to be agreed based on how much work would be involved. 

Will with a Discretionary Trust – starting from £350

This type of Will is a valuable tool for distributing wealth where flexibility is required.  It is normally for those with large estates where inheritance tax planning is required and / or where there are complex family circumstances. 

This type of Will takes some time to draft and therefore our charges begin from £350 and vary depending on the complexity of the work involved.

It is at the discretion of our approved Tax Advisers to determine their fees based on the amount of work they will be undertaking.
